We just found out what the U stands for.
UStream.
Wii UStream.
Nintendo Stream.
People, this means live video for all gamers at anytime.
Youtube is screwed.
Well this is actually a cool idea. And Nintendo Stream is still the best out of all rumoured names.

The letter 'i' usually denotes a camera within a device. Since it's a general addition to a lot of different brands, I don't think that Apple has their claws all over the claim. With Apple, the 'i' usually refers to the user, not a new funky take on the word 'eye', hence the camera part.
Basically, same 'word', two different meanings. If the Nintendo DSi was meant to be labelled as a multimedia entertainment gadget instead of a handheld console, then yeah, Apple would've been all over that cake.
Trophy Cards are classy too! LOLZIGZAGOON

UStream can sue and win a lot of money. What will end up happening is Nintendo will change it. Like Apple did with iTV (called Apple TV now).
It's more a question of the logo, not that it has an U In the name
