E3 is coming in a month, maybe its time to take a look back, what was the first early rumours, what does Project cafe means ?

To me it meant a console that heavily focuses on relaxing social interaction, like that of a cafe.

And that it could make coffee.

The first info on the french website menionned:
Tablet, powerpc 3 cores, r700gpu,dreamcast vmu, zelda 4 swords, Mystery sensor bar to aim at screen, haptic screen, NFC And a secret amazing incredible feature no one wanna talk about!

The one thing that got drilled into my mind during the Cafe phase was the streaming abilities because every single rumor mentioned it.

Yeah aonther interesting thing they talked about at this time was the ability to see your online friends game on the upad while u play on your tv

There was rumors that the whole system was going to be focused on "feeling the game." (Nintendo Feel.)
This is kinda coming true with the Vivitouch technology coming to the controller. (Was shown at the E3 showfloor setup.)

There was also a rumor the Wii U was going to simply be called "Nintendo."

A rumor was floating around last year that the new Smash Bros. was going to be at E3 2011,.

Also, there was a rumor that Skyward Sword was jumping to the Wii U. (Project Cafe then.)

Looks like a prototype of the Wii U controller. (Obviously.)

I remember being so happy because I want a new system(am getting bored with this gen) and was finally hoping nintendo would go HD. And I thought about the dreamcast when I heard about the controller.

Ugh, it annoys me that so many people (myself included) believed her. But now I'm a lot more skeptical when it comes to rumors before E3.
