Kinda makes you hope Retro is working on a new Star Fox for Wii U, huh.
Props to rickonami on YouTube. He's got some pretty cool tributes to Contra, Castlevania, and Double Dragon as well.

YES!!!!!
Thank You so much for sharing. That looked awesome. Music felt great too!
I agree, Star Fox has the potential to be everthing that made SF and SF64 great, with a dash of the Star Wars: Rogue Squadron series and a full on 3ps for ground missions. If Kid Icarus can pull off two mission types, Star Fox certainly can as well.
HUGE Starfox fan! Somewhat disappointed in the last franchise installment, SF Assault.
I felt like Namco had a big plan for it, but certain areas came up short. Namely the ground missions.
Doesn't mean I didn't play the heck out of it. Like I said, I'm a fan, but Assault just felt like another game to me.
SNES Star Fox and Star Fox 64 had a certain epicness to it. I think the ppl who made this video have an idea of what I'm talking about.
FOR WII U!!
I always imagine what it would feel like in a powerful console like the Wii U (and in the right hands, of course). Not to mention all the things you could do with the controller.
I want to see the Star Fox Universe to feel HUGE and DETAILED. with intricate history, fables and lore for each planet in Lylat, with multiple branches and ways of playing
each planet as well.
Though the new version should focus on Arwing action, I still want on-ground missions, but I want those missions to feel worth while, and gritty,
with a play style & camera angle more like Gears of War, cover system and all.
I've got TONS of Wii U Star Fox ideas, and I've actually put a lot of em down here:

I want to hear some more ideas guys!!!!
