LOL STATEMENT OF THE YEARThere will be some like this, who will always hate Nintendo. However when people see their favorite games on the Wii U, start to see what exclusives it will have... Most gamers will buy it.
And don't forget, Nintendo has a league of fans that will buy a Nintendo branded toaster.
Nintendo aiming to get the "hardcore" gamers back. Would it even matter?

A casual gamer buys way more than for. For a casual mini party gamer usually has 10-15 games.A casual gamer buys maybe four games in a systems lifetime, a Hardcore gamer buys thirty.
How would that not work it is completely possible. You mean fan boys, because I lure PS3 gamers at school. This is how, I tell them about the games they are going to put there with the tablet controller. For Ex. I told them about Black Ops 2 Machine Gun Quadrator and how it could be implemented in the WiiU and they think it's cool.A part of the point I want to make is that they shouldn't try to get PS360 gamers to the Wii U because it just wouldn't work. However they should try to get back the fans that moved to PS360 because of the Wii.
With "hardcore" I meant what a lot of people nowaday consider hardcore. That includes the typical COD even though I don't personally consider them hardcore.
Nintendo is just going to have a hard time with the marketing process. They need to be clear about (a) focus group(s).

I guess I am going by all my cousins who have a Wii and only own Mario Kart, Wii Sports and Wii fit. Also good job on getting PS3 gamers on the Wii U's side. I did it with my friend who thinks he is a ninja, he was so impressed by the Throwing Stars thing.

That said, the Wii U looks like it's more than capable of capturing all audience types.
And of course it matters. You want your product to get as many people interested in it as possible.
Trophy Cards are classy too! LOLZIGZAGOON

A game that's property is owned by a first party, but when they have a 3rd party make it. That's a 2nd party game.Microsoft has ditched the Hardcore gamers they are all about Kinect so the Hardcores are up for grabs. Nintendo will gain back the Hardcore Nintendo fans that left them for the 360/PS3 seeing as Wii U is an amazing beast of a system. They will be welcomed back home to the best of the best "Nintendo" As for the other Hardcores....(COD, and other shooters) I see no reason why Nintendo would fail at getting them. However in my personal opinion I dont want any of those arrogant baboons from COD and such in the Nintendo community. The Nintendo community is filled with polite and kind people who care about having fun. So Nintendo doesnt need to add the whinny punk kids and trash talkers from shooters.
I have to ask...what is a 2nd party game....lol

I haven't really talked much about the Wii U to my friends, but usually they are like "Oh. Cool."
One of my friends moved from Wii to Xbox 360. He said the Wii U looked creative and he migh buy it, if it has good enough online functions and decent graphics. He isn't much of a gamer tho anymore. Showing my 3DS almost tempted him to buy one, so Nintendo's doing good on getting "old" fans back.
Most PS360 gamers I heard however, prefer just a "small" and "cheap" (that will probably not cost above $80) controller in their hands. They say Wii U controller looks bulky. So why pay a lot more for something you're not even that fond of? That's why I think a lot of them won't buy it. And a lot of them are naive, biased, stupid etc.

I don't really think of casual vs core gamer based on how many games you buy. It's more about which games you buy and how you go about playing those games.A casual gamer buys maybe four games in a systems lifetime, a Hardcore gamer buys thirty.
I bought a gaming PC pretty much top of the line back in 2006 to play just one game on. Over the years I put in around 4 months of in-game play time, think about how much time 4 months is (it's around 3,000 hours) when you talk about a Zelda game taking 50-80 hours to complete being considered massive and hardcore. But you'd say I'm a casual gamer because I only bought one game? No, of course you wouldn't, that doesn't make any sense.
Same with the Wii, I had 4 games that I put in over 400 hours each and then a bunch of other games that would be considered 'casual' games that I didn't do too much with. But with those 4 games I played the crap out of, I was definitely playing them "hardcore" as you could say. To me, meaning I played them with more effort and care than just what you would do when you pop in Wii-sports and show a friend how the Wii-mote can work.
I had more fun with those 4 games than I did with the 15 or so other games together. To me, it's not about the quantity of games you play that makes you core or casual, it's the quality you put into an individual game.
Even now that I'm married and have a baby, I still consider myself a core gamer even though I don't get to put as much time into it as I use to. The time I do get to play, I make the most of it and play to win or do good, or whatever.
