LOL its actually sad how it sucked... WOW i cant believe Microsoft screwed themselves that much...
Funny thing is they didn't screw themselves. The anti trust suits that were put onto Microsoft are now over, this prevented them from bringing all their services together since it would have been a major monoply. This suit lead them to put movie maker, messenger etc as seperate programs from the core windows install. It prevented them from getting big with Zune (The service does not suck, it's people's ideology of the name Zune makes them think it sucks).
Now that the suit is expired, they can now tie these services together, that's been Microsoft's aim, so it pretty much is a win win scenario for them.
Simultaneous Computex is occuring and laptop manufacturers are showing some stellar tabtops, tablets and touchscreen ultrabooks in 11 and 13 inch form factors with 1920 X 1080 resolution screens all running windows 8.
Anyone buying a laptop this winter will practically have a tablet, you will be buying into the microsoft ecosystem, it's the trojan horse and it's honestly a good marketing scheme. It's lik buying TVs, if you want a high end LED tV (£600+) it's going to be 3D whether or not you want it to be, same thing with computers this winter.
The Xbox media apps, is the same old Zune service (that I've been loving since I've been given a free 6 months Zune pass) just renamed to Xbox Music. They needed they're music service to be more competitive with iTunes and rebranding it to Xbox was the only way to present it as something new.
So Microsoft is pretty much happy, they got their message out and this is all just against Apple, Xbox is their product against Apple TV and iTunes, Windows 8 and Windows Phone is their competition against Android and iOS.
It's a great ecosystem, it's not for me but it's a very solid package of services. So anyone saying Microsoft screwed themselves, they really didn't. Remember MS is more than just games, that's something people tend to forget.
In other news Last of Us and Beyond, those were amazing, and so was Lara Croft, finally more games that about immersiveness and that tell a story.
Sony so far has the better briefing. We're gamers and we care about games.
