Not sure where this came from, but definitely not E3. I think it's from the developer showcase last night. This lifted my spirits a hell of a lot.

    F-Zero mainly, but Nintendo generally

I saw footage of the mini game in action, it looks like a slower, less-destructive race around the track in a clockwork Blue Falcon. I hope this is to drum up attention to the series to release a full game!

I would love to see an F-Zero game on the WiiU! I'm not going to get my hopes up, though. They tried to replace Wave Race with Wii Sports Resort, and it was a huge fail.

So.... Yeah. Just keep that in mind.

Here's a video with a short look at F-Zero from Nintendo Land, there's also other stuff in it but go to 5:10 in the video to see the F-Zero footage:

Ya know, it's stuff like this that's the reason I was pleased when they announced Nintendo Land. Think about it. This game will give exposure to some of Nintendo's lesser known franchises among the more "casual" gamers. That means if and when Nintendo releases new entries in these franchises, there's a higher amount of interest in them, which means higher sales, which means that there's more incentive for Nintendo to release new entries in these franchises more often. The way I see it, Nintendo Land is a win-win. The "casual" gamers get their party game, and the added exposure means more games for us. It's brilliant.

I think this is going to be what they did with Kid Icarus, they put Pit into SSBB, maybe to see the reaction, then released a new Kid Icarus game. This could be a test to see the reaction to F-Zero. Or both of those games were already in development and putting pit into SSBB and putting F-Zero into Nintendoland are ways to market those games and characters. Reggie said that they were going to aggressively push for a high attatchment rate of Nintendoland to the Wii U. Core gamers are pretty much the only ones know about F-zero, so I think this is a pretty food sign that we will see at least more F-Zero related content and probably a game for Wii U.

So many games these guys could potentially bring back from the dead. Let's keep our fingers crossed.
