Old Rev Rumor
"A patent for the Revolution's gyroscopic, LCD-touch-screen-enabled controller has been uncovered"
What does that sound like to you? I was going over some old Revolution rumors, and I thought it interesting that they had that working even back then.

Maybe the Wii was originally going to have a touch screen, I dunno.

Nintendo usually builds off of failed concepts. Take for example how the Virtual Boy helped shape the 3DS, or how the Wii U's second screen was influenced by how the Game Cube was supposed to be incredibly interactive with the Game Boy Advance. It wouldn't surprise me all that much if this were true.

I heard a while back that Nintendo originally intended for the Wii to have a tablet-like touchscreen controller, either as the main controller or as an additional one to the Wiimote. Certainly would have been interesting if that was the case.
But then, there was also meant to be THIS thing as an alternate to the motion control system, and I'm still horribly disappointed that it never really came to be..

Yeah that's true. They learn from their mistakes.Nintendo usually builds off of failed concepts.
