Okay so my friend in the gaming industry got a chance to swing by Retro Studios out in Texas (or so she tells me). She claimed to have gotten inf on what Retro Studios is currently hard at work on for the Wii U.

She said they are designing a Star Wars First Person Shooter, designed with the GamePad in Mind.

So this obviously seems crazy and im pretty sure shes lying (and not gonna b my friend anymore, lol) but i wanted to share this with you guys. Do you think it seems possible?

Is she absolutely 100% sure it's Star Wars? Not just a sci-fi FPS? She sounds like she's talking crap, anyway.

Thats what im thinking too, either that or Bioware, but their work is for the MMO's of the franchise. i don't think this one is an MMO although i didnt get the details on that so... but if this was Retro's Game, I would lose all respect for them because they had so many other possibilities...

Is she absolutely 100% sure it's Star Wars? Not just a sci-fi FPS? She sounds like she's talking crap, anyway.

All i was told was; "Star Wars First Person Shooter, designed with the GamePad in mind."
So whatever it is, (An ACTUAL Star Wars FPS, or an FPS taking place where stars are at War, lol), it seems to me like its Bogus or a new guessing game for us.

Didn't she mistake it for Metroid? Because it's both sci-fi and stuff.. you know..

Seriously why would Retro make Starwars. This rumors is just laughable xD

I can see arguments for both metroid and star fox here. I honestly think if it is a fps it's metroid, I don't see star fox being a fps maybe a third person though. Obviously if she switched the wars with fox star fox seems more likely.

Well, I doubt Retro Studios would be making a new Star Wars FPS. Mainly because LucasArts would be handling a Star-Wars related project, and Retro would be focusing on a Nintendo-related project.

...although, I do want Jedi Knight IV. :/

I would prefer it TPS or Elder scrolls style... fps or third person... with open world.. just a starwars fps doesn't mean anything to me, weve seen many in the past. I prefer to play tp games more than fp, I enjoy them more as I have visual contact with my character..

Completley False. Its Starfox. Retro Studios said themselfs we are working on something everyone wants. Who wants a Star Wars game from them? Nobody. Retro makes NINTENDO'S games and revives them Its most certainly Starfox HD not a silly Starwars game.
