Nintendo has stood tall since September 23rd 1889. 123 years they have lasted. And sure it wasnt till the what late1980's with the NES they became a Video Game company but they have always been in the entertainment industry and gaming. Besides the taxi part of their business lol.

What is that game about?

It's about the life of a hat, duh. You sit on someone's head all day, unless you're hanging on a hook in the house. Sometimes you fall off. It's intense.

Miyamoto is clearly the only developer that wants to make fun games.

Very true.
The others are just in it for the money at this stage.

Not all but I'd probably have to say most of the big ones are, though a lot of indie devs still just want to make their dream game and aren't in it for the money. What holds back Miyamoto and Nintendo as a whole is their desire to have mass appeal. While they need mass appeal to survive as a business their focus on it detracts from some of their games as well as it deters core gamers.

This statement is false. The previous statement is true.

RIP in peace Nintendo.

My point still stands. Nintendo has stood tall for so long its not even funny.

Actually, they had a few consoles before that, and arcade games, but the consoles only came out in Japan until the NES, and even that came out in japan as the Famicom years before the rest of the world got it. It was the mid 70's when they started the console business, and their first arcade game was EVR Race. Even the game and watch came out before the NES.

Yes. Add 100 years from 1889 to 1989 thats 100. Then add 23 more years and you get to 2012. This is the 123 year.

1889?
123 years?

I prefer that old windows 95 pinball that was shaped like a bear. :)

Oh, I wasn't trying to disprove your point, just pointing out it's even longer than the late 80's.

core gamers don't like having fun, got it.

My point in my post was not that I couldn't add.
It was: Nintendo was here from 1889?
I thought it was a videogame only company.

Nope. They got their start as a trading card company.

Oh I see. Yah they were a gaming company where they made Hanafuda trading cards. They were also a Taxi company for awhile lol and even a Love Hotel lol. But basicly have allways been in the entertainment industry.
