I've been about three hours in the game and I'm only level 3. I always die across the river, when I have to go to Galaxy Radio. Levelling is very slow for me... I've been to the school. Survived it with lots of healing items, but it levelled me up. Does anyone have tips for me? (if there are people who play(ed) it on here..)

I never played Fallout 3 but i did play New Vegas, so im assuming they are very similar. I found when i first started out that the guns totally sucked and it was easier to use melee weapons like baseball bats and crowbars until i got to a higher level and found better guns, i always loaded up on stimpaks whenever i could, and i saved as often as i remembered because when you die it blows if you forgot to save and lost like 3 hours of gameplay. Also i highly recommend doing sidequests that get you a follower, i guess you wont know which quests give what so do as many as you can until you get a follower they make it so so so much easier. Hope that kinda helps a little

Yes melee works very well, it helps not to stray to far in the beginning of the game, find a cheap rifle and pick off small enemies with vats. Most of all get a follower like Mitch suggested.

That's what I've been doing yes, melee weapons, saving a lot... But I still get killed by gunned enemies that shoot me from far away. And what does a follower do (aside from following you.. does he help you attack?), and where do I get one?

They can help attack and you can give them different weapons and stuff, and the respawn, you get them by doind quests, like i said i never played fallout 3 so idk what the quests are

Level up more, do more side quest and the path to Galaxy Radio is easier. Its THREE DOGG OWWWWW!!!! LOL

I would've killed them over the PS3 version of the game. But fallout 3 was awesome.

A good tip would be to Check most if not all boxes and containers you see. You'd be surprised what you find in them
