Nintendo went domain name crazy and got all of these Wii U websites. All of them currently send you to http://e3.nintendo.com or http://www.nintendo.com.
Also, some of the websites are about games that were discontinued (New Super Mario Bros. Mii) or games that were not yet announced (like Wii U Sports or Wii Party U).

Before I had 41, but earlier today I deleted repeats and websites that either didn't exist or brought me to websites other than websites made by Nintendo. Now it's at least 30.
