Has Nintendo confirmed any sort of online voice chat with the Wii U yet? I mean if there is none, that is a shame. I mean like a HUGE shame. Now, I am not saying I doubt it wont ever be come. However if you look at XBOX 360 and PS3. The utilization of online voice chat is a big thing. I hope they don't do what they did with the Wii and wait. If they've got some hardcore games like COD, ZombiU ect, they should know many people on competing systems like to use voice capabilities on them. They're going to essentially have to add in voice chat if they want to try and get Microsoft or Sony fans.

Third parties were confirmed to be making headsets to be available at launch recently I think. In addition to that the Wii U gamepad has a built-in microphone for voice chat as well. So yeah, voice communication will certainly be alive and well on the Wii U.

Well personally I own a turtle beach, so I was hoping I could use it on this one. If not its fine i'll just get any standard microphone. I usually end up breaking my standard microphones.

My only real problem with turtle beaches is that they're kinda hard to hook up and they're really bulky and tons of wires. Other then that they work pretty well. They're very comfy.

yes, not only is it practically confirmed to voice/video chat while pausing the game, but the gamepad and other headsets will most likely be used for ingame as well

Before I purchase any third-party microphone headsets I'm going to see for myself whether that mic on the Wii U GamePad is any good.

I personally do not care much for voice chat, unless it's co-op. Then, it's almost essential.

Why are you just trying to start arguments? First of all, I didn't watch the Ghost Recon video. I don't recall it even being shown at the press conference. At E3, I don't recall Nintendo even mentioning voice chat. As for the commercial, it did not identify any signs of voice chat. It just showed us things we already knew were confirmed.

You might want to recheck the ghost recon wii u commercial because they were talking to each other.
