New GTA V rumors, Take-Two and Rockstar deciding whether it should be on Wii U

I was browsing Gamespot and found this

It includes that Take Two and Rockstar are deciding whether or not to bring GTA V to Wii U

I doubt this guys info is legit tho, but there's always a chance...

Seems plausible. Seems fun. Why won't Rockstar and Take Two just make up their minds already. I don't really care for GTA (and also because my mom won't let me play M rated games) but I mean seriously everyone is waiting for your response Rockstar/Take Two.

Why wouldn't they be thinking of porting the game to new consoles?
Seems obvious that they'd consider all consoles when the game is still in development.

There is no reason not to bring it to the console. It wouldn't cost them all that much to do a port of and they could even try this as a limited print run and test the market. After all this will be the best selling game of whatever year it comes out (if it can beat C.O.D. which I think it can) so they should at least try on the Wii U. Even if that version bombs they will still make a ton of money off of the game in general, and would be able to definitively say that a game like G.T.A. can't sell on the platform.

They probably don't want to take a risk like that, they'll be expected to do something with the Wii U controller and it's money they just don't see necessary to spend right now. If the Wii U proves to do well with core gamers then they'll probably be more interested in the system.

Uh... I might believe this... If its true, then its great. The poster managed to post that in a way that it could be totally made up yet still be very accurate.

That is why they could do a limited run of the game. Very similar to the way that a lot of niche Japanese games have been released this gen, release a small number of copies and then from there if the game does well do a reprint of it. And as to what they could do with the controller, just throw a map and maybe access to the cell phone (if there is one in this game) on there and call it a day. That way they won't be throwing too much money at the project, and it has the possibility to do really well.

Well if Borderlands 2 is likely then Take Two would surely take a punt on this unless its now a next gen.

I think and hope that Rockstar really wants to put the game on the Wii U. So far i think it's only been take two that has shown signs of negativity (correct me if i'm worng)

wait wait this cant possible be true!! the guy says its going to be on only next gen platforms including ps4 and xbox720. lol impossible since the game is confirmed to be released before may 2013

I know Rockstar was complaining with gta4 that the xbox360 had to less of storage on 1 disc compared to ps3 bluray. What system uses the wiiU?

Proprietary format very similar to bluray but not to close to infringe patents. Gets the same amount of storage
