Has anyone played the games amnesia the dark descent? I am actually just following a walkthrough of it, because I wouldn't be able to play it because I'm a total chicken. It is supposed to be one of the scariest games of 2010. I've heard it got great reviews also. Discuss

I haven't played it but I've heard good things about this game, IGN UK gave it a good review but it's PC and that means you'd be so CLOSE to the screen.

I've played and beaten it, if you're computer can handle it then I recomend it. Monsters can't see you 2 feet away if you're in the dark & not looking at them.

Sigh... You guys don't get it, do you? It's like by looking at them they slowly gain awareness of your presence. Taken out of context it would be dumb AI but this is a horror game.

Bad AI? Everything is too dark! If you were there you wouldn't see anythig either.

It's effing scary.
As far as a 1st Person game is concerned, it is a masterpiece.

1) No Weapons. The fact that you can't fight back and have to use a little puzzle working whilst in hot action is scary.
2) It really has the horror survival feel to it.
3) It's free?

I remember that video, my first run through of that i stopped playing for 2 days XD but that's when i found out they couldn't see you in the dark when you don't look at them. They have poor vision and apparently when you look at them for too long you start to go insane and that makes you easier to spot. When they spot you a sound of a violin scratching plays as you can hear when they see him at 4:29 if you can get past his screams that is XD
