Take-Two (the people behind Grand Theft Auto, Red Dead Redemption, LA Noire, etc) has not announced any plans for the Wii U, but they are looking at it. They are looking to make a completely original game and not just an HD Port from the PS3/360/PC.

What game to you want to see on the Wii U from Take-Two?
I want to see GTA 5 come to the Wii U.

There's been quite a few rumours about a GTA game for the Wii U over the last few months, so I wouldn't be at all surprised if one is officially announced in the next year. They were also behind L.A. Noire, which is supposedly very good (I don't have an Xbox 360 or PS3 so I don't know), so that could also be a possibility.

Reading the article it sounds like they would be interested in developing an exclusive, a game only playable with the uPad functions. Would be very interesting to see.
Besides that if they get on board with the Wii U there'd be no real reason to keep GTA away from it, pretty sure they already have some nice ideas for it.

A Nintendo home console getting a GTA game PERIOD sounds great to me. Or even a WiiU version of some new franchise like Red Dead Redemption or LA Noire.

well yeah but seeing as there were so many rumours of GTA coming to Wii U i assume that's why it gets mentioned, and its probably their biggest game.
A Borderlands or Bioshock would be awesome as well.

Take Two has Borderlands, Bioshock, X-Com, Grand Theft Auto, Red Dead Redemption, LA Noire, NBA/NHL/MLB 2KX, Top Spin, Mafia, a bunch of casual franchises, Civilization, etc.

To assume it's GTA based on "Take Two is considering Wii U support" and that there were rumors of a GTA game being on Wii U is a gigantic leap of faith.

I'm hoping for an exclusive new IP tbh, which I think is the most likely option as well. (because of the wording in the article)

Third parties rarely do exclusives nowadays.

I won't be doing any leaps of faith when it comes to third party support on a Nintendo home console though, kthx.

Who cares if a third party is a console exclusive. As long as it makes it to the WiiU in a non-dumbed down form I'm happy.

Take Two did have a very few good on the Wii so I'm not surprised that they are interested. Bully was on the Wii. Exclusives is not a draw for me. I will like Take Two just make the games on the Wii U as they have for the other consoles by using their capabilities. On of the few developers that do that.

The title made me laugh because of Read dead Redemption made me think of Typing of the dead on the dreamcast.

It will be interesting to see if they turn these words into an actual game. Red Dead Redemption was a brilliant game so it would be great to see something along the lines of that coming to the Wii U.
