How many times does it need to be said that 2006 is SA3? Seriously, SA3 has already happened. It was terrible.

Same formula, but you can hardly call it a true sequel.

They both essentially have the same gameplay, except, with the difference that SA1 and 2 don't play like they were in Beta version when Sega sent them out.

Also, the storyline. The Adventure series had it, and did it well IMO, but it was generally a much more light-hearted thing even if it knew when to get dramatic. Sonic 06 really seemed like an odd attempt to create a "mature" Sonic, and it just honestly came out plain bad, like the kind of thing I could have seen being written as a really poor fanfiction back 10 years ago.

That said, I don't think 06 needs to be remade, it'd just be a waste of time when Sonic Team should be making a new game instead.

Also, it's not like Sonic the Hedgehog went to hell altogether after that. Secret Rings, Black Knight, Unleashed, Colours, Generations and even other things like Riders and All-Stars Racing are fun.

But as we all know, I'd prefer that SEGA revive Wonder Boy. DO EET!

That game was horrible and I hope Sega doesn't remaster it to put us thru gaming hell again.

Sega mis handled sonic which a string of sucky games. Sonic Generation was a step in the right direction for Sega hopefully they get back on track with sonic.
