So a casual games developer hopes a hot console like the wii u will be home to primarily casual games?
Nothing self serving there...
And seriously, it's not that hard to figure out what account you're tweeting from. Smells of a clean up job.
Also, anyone with they opinion has clearly not been paying attention to... You know... Facts, recent events, etc.
Nintendo has publicly stated a mission to win back the hardcore market. Everything from specs to publishing deals (bayonetta2 anyone?) to the developers they are signing up literally every day....
And then the makers of toki something or other is trying to preserve a "haven" for games like theirs by adding their own words to sway public mindshare.
Some guy employed there with "no inside info" has access to the corporate PR account? Don't think so.
It was a bad move. It failed. Now they are cleaning up.
Instead of people saying "yeah, you're right. Can't wait for more toki somethingorother!," people said "what The heck or you smoking?" that is called a viral fail.
Good job guys!
Now, please go and learn to diversify your portfolio. That way you don't have to worry about people "growing out of" your casual games because you'll actually have a plan.
This type of explanation might work for the majority of people out there who's only knowledge of the industry is pressing a console power button, but for folks who have a better idea of how thinks work, this is a slap in the face.
Nintendo highlighted your game even. And you go and try to fit them into a little box that suits your needs.
I know what game I'm NOT buying my little sister for her new Wii U.
