Is the basic version available in black? and is the deluxe version in white? I think they made both a "color exclusive" why would nintendo do this?
I am planning on buying the wii u on boxing day along with New super mario bros U, how much would the price drop on boxing day?

Unfortunately white is basic black is deluxe and thats it. Prices won't drop on boxing day because the price is locked by Nintendo, not by retailers.

Your choice is either the basic in white or the premium in black. That's it. No one knows why Nintendo chose to do it that way. As for price drop there won't be one any time soon as its a brand new console.

Usually on boxing day they make consoles and stuff cheaper by like 20 bucks or something, it is a shame for the color thing, awell looks like I am buying the basic set

Really, a price drop won't occur until PS4 and Xbox720 are announced/released. If Sony and MS price their machines at $400-$500+, I wouldn't count on much a price drop anytime soon. Maybe Nintendo will redo the bundles and include a game with the Basic and toss another bonus in with the Deluxe, but that is about all I would count on for 2013.

Don't expect a price launch except maybe some deals on Black Friday, perhaps? Also, yes, as everyone said, it's color exclusive... makes me sad, I wanted White :[
