So, now that the graphics in this console are improved, will there be Music/Sound Improvement?

I was thinking, will This console be able to handle Longer, and more glorified Songs and sounds? It could make the games even better.

Sound hasn't been a factor in gaming for a long time now.

We reached the 'good enough' a long time ago.

It's up to the person to get some good speakers if they want really high quality sound.
You know what guys?
It's amazing how the the human mind does not process the the fact I used the word "the" twice in a row in this sentence.

Any improvements in the sound department would be welcome, but in my opinion, the sound quality on the Wii was fine, so I wouldn't consider sound to be something that needs to be improved.

They easily will improve the sound part! You know Nintendo likes their theme songs and orchestra music, so they will probably make the sound factor a great improvement along with the graphics!

that reminds me...i hope they let you store music on the system...and play it during gameplay. not counting on nintendo to do it but it would be nice.

Besides the McDonald's toy quality speaker in the Wiimote. I really hope the built-in speaker for the WiiU controller (there is one correct?) has much higher quality with more clarity and less crackle.

All sound quality/song length limitations melted away when the industry moved from cartridges to optical media. Most Wii and even GameCube games store their songs in the form of completely uncompressed waveforms (sometimes as large as 70 MB per song), so there's nothing that's impossible sound-wise on a technical level anymore.

But what they could do is offer more sound output options. The Wii could only output 4-channel Dolby Pro-Logic II surround sound at best. With HDMI in, I hope Nintendo offers 7.1 channel Dolby TrueHD and/or DTS-HD Master Audio to us - true lossless digital surround sound.

Sorry about that. We've just had a problem with trolls getting into the chatroom and causing trouble, so as of yesterday, I require people to get 5 "counted" posts to prove they're really here to be part of the community before they can access the chatroom. Just go and make 2 more posts somewhere outside of forum games, and you're good to go.
