In case you missed it Nintendo confirmed that the tech demos and the dev kits are all under clocked from the true console and that you've only seen 10% of it's potential so far. How is this gonna effect the xbox or Ps3's lifespan if the Wii U has games too powerful for them? (The tables have turned :P .)

Power isn't always every thing, I mean, the PS2 was one of the weakest consoles that gen, but it was the most successful.

they wre underclocked, yes. but i dont think that reggie only was talking about graphics when he talked about 10% and potencial.
But it would be really awesome though if it was muchos more powerful than the ps3 :P

its not always about power,so its not like there gonna keep adding power to it every second against compitition. maybe the nextGen consoles will have power, but it all depends on when there coming out with it and exactly how much power the wiiU really has.

Don't forget it will take a lot of processing power to compress the streamed signal to the second screen, so not all of it will go on the games. Having said that we know this machine will probably have 2 gig of ram and runs directx 10.1 so graphics will be somewhat better if not amazingly so.

We can only hope that not only is the hardware inside more powerful, but that developers also try and take full advantage of the hardware. Granted, the Wii was the weakest console of this generation, but most games didn't bother to push the system to its limits.

I know it's not all about power but 30 % of Ps360 community are graphic whores, 30% are kids willing to buy Wii U if graphic whores say it's cool. I'll be surprised if the Wii U isn't 3 times more then Ps3 since Wii U has R700 series graphics card.

It's amazing that it's actually possible without lag, but I have to say of the 10% we've seen, it's probably part of that.

Most current information and rumors from developers telling IGN that Radeon HD 4850 was the closest commercially available GPU, the rumors of R700 series GPU, specifically RV700 core, and Power7 based CPU all point to Wii U being at least about four times as powerful as Xbox 360. I certainly wouldn't call it next gen, but it should be able to pull off anything current PC games have accomplished and perhaps a little more with optimized code.

A super powered Nintendo console? Count me in. Although 4 times as powerful sounds like an overestimate.

Im not sure if that is a overestimate if you compare the xbox to modern computers.

True, although I can't say I've ever had a computer that was even CLOSE to top of the line. :D
