Okay, the Wii U will be amazing. There's no doubting that. I hate the name, however. Wii U? Why not Wii 2, or Nintendo Revolution, or NintenCore, or something other than Wii U?

The name grew on me but i wish they left the wii part out should just be the NintendoU. Or Revolution-U

It's still a Wii in terms of a family console, but with a lot more emphasis on U, you the "hardcore" gamer.
Why did they call the 3DS, 3DS?
i guess theyre trying to follow microsoft and sony and use their previous names just with a new number or letter
3DS is a perfect name; the DS is 3D.

Nintendo Revolution - Wii's project name, so it's already taken. Why didn't they call the Gamecube the Nintendo Dolphin?
Wii 2 - Implications that it's merely a carbon copy of the system with a few upgrades.
NintenCore - It just doesn't roll off the tongue, not to mention that it implies the alienation of anyone who isn't a core gamer.
If you watched e3, Iwata explains why it's called the Wii U.

The Wii U is the successor to the Wii. It is a new console but it also improves upon the concept of the Wii. The NES: Nintendo's first console and also it was 8-bit; the SNES: one of Nintendo's most popular consoles and it improved on the NES and it was 16-bit.

It is motion control(tilting and moving the gamepad)But the Wii-U isnt motion control

So that means the Vita is motion control? I mean its not jerky twist ninja like the Wii was its classic controls

I will not be using the wii-mote at all. not once. Game-pad and pro controller

I actually love the name and the box-art is the best box-art ive ever seen besides the N64 boxes they were awesome! I really like some of the 360 boxes and hate the Ps3 boxes with a passion they are ugly.
