Get the game which is original and not a remake, kingdom hearts.
Don't reward Nintendo for re-releasing an old game.

I get what you're saying but they haven't played the original, so he's excused. :P

oh... :/ that kinda sucks this is sort of the first time I wanted a game out side of mario or zelda...

You really need to branch out then. Wow, I couldn't imagine only playing two series. I'm sure you mayyyy be able to get by in Kingdom Hearts but you'd really have a worse experience than if you had played the previous games. It's like jumping in the middle of a movie trilogy. So I still recommend OoT over KH. If you like the game that much maybe you can play the previous ones first?

Kingdom Hearts is amazing but i wouldn't recommend it to someone who hasn't at least played the main games (1+2), i think Zelda is the way to go =)

If you haven't played Zelda: OoT, then I would recommend you get that one. There's a lot to do in the game and if you're up to the challenge you also get the more difficult Mirror Quest Mode.

Seeing as how you haven't played the previous versions of Kingdom Hearts, I'd say you shouldn't get KH: 3D. The plot of the whole series is somewhat complicated and this title pretty much leads up to Kingdom Hearts III. (It basically ties any loose ends.) There is a Mementos section within in the game that references all previous titles so that might help. If not, you can always read up on the story online. :)

So yeah, not sure if I helped or not. Both titles are fantastic games and will do well in your 3DS collection.
