Basic because I have an external hard driver(500GB) and I want to spend the money in other game. Assassins Creed 3, Black Ops 2 and Batman Arkham City or Mass Effect 3.

When I am going to buy a Wii U it will be the deluxe. I prefer a white Wii U, but meh, a color is a color, I want the additional content that is associated with that model.

White does stand out more, so I guess if you have alot of company it might be better. Black is awesome also, I really just wanted the Nintendo Land.

Like I always say, who on earth is staring at the console while playing games?

This is even more so with the Wii U as it looks only slightly different to the Wii, so there isn't really anything to see.

I will stick it under my desk anyway to minimise the fan noise as I would be VERY surprised if this console is not considerably louder than the Wii. Under there everything else is black so it will be pretty much invisible, how it should be.

White also has a nasty habit of turning yellow if ANY sunlight gets on it, another reason to keep it well in the shade.

The fact that people are willing to buy the basic white just because of the colour when the premium black is far better value makes me laugh.

Do I want Nintendoland ? No. Then again I'm getting the limited edition premium black Zombie U edition which comes with that game instead and a pro controller.

In conclusion all the extra stuff included in the black for $50 more or around £25 more here in the UK makes it great value for money. Because its such great value anyone would be crazy not to go with the premium.

Most people prefer black because it matches their other electronics.
You're wrong about a 10% discount, you don't get a discount at all. you earn 10% of purchases as points, which you can then cash-in for money off a further purchase once you've spent at least 50 dollars/euro.
though I guess it is a 10% discount.

Hey guys! I'm here to ask everybody which Wii U you are getting? Are you going to get the Basic pack, or the Deluxe pack? Me? I'll just get the basic pack. I really don't need all of those extras for an additional $50.

If you honestly don't care about nintendoland the basic is fine. I personally like the white better. Plus I'm sure just about everyone is going to get an external memory expansion down the road anyway.

all you have states are opinions. I want Nintendo land, I want the extra space without buying an external drive. I want te cradle and stands, I love the black color, and I digitally download stuff all the time so it will be well worth it in the end!
