News: A pre-order listing for Kid Icarus Uprising on the Wii U has appeared on Amazon’s French site, despite the 3DS game’s developers Project Sora closing down in June.
Make of this what you will: An Amazon.fr listing indicates Kid Icarus Uprising will be making the (considerable) jump from the 3DS to the Wii U.
Before reaching for your wallet, however, keep in mind a couple of things: firstly, Uprising’s developers Project Sora were shut down earlier this year. Secondly, IGN reported back in May that game director Masahiro Sakurai wasn’t interested in making another Kid Icarus game (the listing looks like a port, rather than a sequel, but it’s as unlikely he’d stick around for the former as he would the latter).
Then again, Italian site Zekkun.net spotted an Amazon.it listing for the very same Wii U edition of Kid Icarus Uprising over a month ago, which has yet to be removed – either Nintendohaven’t noticed, or something is afoot. Hmm.

I have a feeling we will see a Kid Icarus on the Wii U (It's perfect for it after all), but it won't be Uprising HD.
It seriously would. As a loyal Kid Icarus fan since it's roots, knowing the series won't die is comforting. In terms of gme value for the Wii U, it's a match made in heaven.. Hopefully it'll happen.
