What do you guys think? It's clearly something new, as Valve has never touched Nintendo consoles. I personally think this is another third party we should care about.

I think Portal on the Wii U could do some amazing stuff with the new controller, as well as Counter Strike. I hope they do bring some good games to the Wii U.

Valve is still relatively new on the console scene so I believe if they make good games that as FacestabMan said Nintendo fans should show their support for giving Nintendo a chance.

YES!

They should release a compilation of their games for the Wii U and call it "The Yellow Box" :)

This is great news! :)

This statement is false. The previous statement is true.

RIP in peace Nintendo.

It may not mean anything in the future but I'm very excited that Valve is paying attention to the system and acknowledging that it does indeed have the horsepower to satisfy their needs. Plus if that old rumor about Valve being involved with Nintendo's new online structure is true then we have a lot to look forward to. Besides, it's frigg'n Valve! When they talk, the western gaming community listens.

Incidentally, Mark Rein from Epic had this to say on his twitter:

Valve likes the WiiU -- the idea of having full Steam support on WiiU excites me quite a bit! Valve rocks!

I'd love to see Portal on the Wii U. I'm going to get too excited though, as this could come to nothing.

A portal on your controller to see into the game and you could see the real world from the portal in game using the camera would be awesome.

If they make the Wii Ultra Steam accessible, I will die! Steam is the best online gaming experience ever and fits right into what Nintendo Promises! Security, Privacy and Freedom.

Valve makes some of my favorite games and being able to play them on a Nintendo console would be awesome, but the first thing they have to do before releasing a big time game is release a collection much like Orange Box or releasing a couple of their more popular games on a downloadable store.
