You will be required to purchase a Wii Remote (with Motion+) and a Nunchuck in order to play Skyward Sword.

No Wii game is compatible with the gamepad. Only be used with their respective controls.
I heard somewhere that you could play Wii Games on the gamepad, but only using the gamepad as a screen. Note, the gamepad has ir sensors.

Pokedex entry: Mewtwo: The butt pokemon. It is really sexy and any pokemon that sees it wants to have sex with it. It's power comes from it's butt.

So your buying a Wii U to play a normal wii game lol, Anyway it will work but you will probably need a normal wiimote and nunchuck.
You moron, clearly he is not just buying Wii U for a Wii game.
He enjoys Zelda, wants to have the latest console, and doesnt have a wii or SS.

What's really cool about this is that you can put your Wii U in the car and play Wii games on the gamepad's screen.
Just attach the gamepad to the seat like this:
The IR sensors are already built in to the gamepad so you can just play wii games on it!

lulz
I think it's pretty difficult for anyone to detect sarcasm through the Internet and I don't think leaving the house enhances your ability to do so.

While this would be a good idea you would need to hook up the WiiU (as in the console itself)somehow into your car otherwise it won't work.
It would be great if you could have some internal memory inside the Gamepad so that you could play eshop /wii(u) games on the move.
