Ubisoft’s Uplay service affords a variety of functionality. It acts as a digital distribution platform, as well as a multiplayer and achievement tracker that has been used in mos to the company’s recent games.

Uplay won’t be compatible with Wii U immediately. But according to Ubisoft president Yves Guillemot, he’s hoping it’ll be ready sometime after launch.

“We hope to have a good connection with their systems because Nintendo has been very open to us and allowed us to use our systems to communicate with our customers.”

i really dont get this, Uplay its like EA's origin and all that carp, why all companies wants to implement that on the consoles? and what does this mean anyways? it will be just another online store or something like that or what? Why u would want lots of online stores on the same platform when u already can buy ubisoft titles in the eShop? i dont even know how this is going to affect or work on the wii u.

You get uplay points for certain achievements/trophies in Ubisoft games. For example each time you finish a chapter in the past couple Assassin's Creed games you got 10 points (if I can recall correctly) and then can use them towards ingame stuff like being able to hold more throwing knives or a new costume. I got like 85 points so I hope they have it for Wii U, I'm getting ACIII!

Uplay is just fine. It's a heck of a lot better than origin. I usually use it for rewards in games like Assassin's Creed.

and why origin is so bad then?

It invades privacy, it is slow, and it's mandatory to play many games.

Well EA is pushing Origin on the Wii U, why not let Ubisoft do the same thing?

Be wary, the suck is coming.

EA is forcing their service down our throats. ex: You can't play MP on any of the new EA without an Origin account.

I hate origin, but I'm open to this, Ubisoft are a good company with good games, and I'm sure thier services are good too.
