No, really. We didn't have cable for a few years, so I'm totally out of touch with the TV world.

Yes, 4Kids are the ones to blame, I watched One Piece 4Kids dub, and guess what? Riffles were edited to look like Nerf Super Soakers but then I watched the subbed version and it was AWESOME.
4Kids sucked... it's a good thing they are gone.

haha I actually consider this as good news. I do not like how 4kids censor many things and they pretty much just destroy the anime. One Piece yes indeed is an excellent example of how they ruined the show, but I also do not like how they ruined "Kirby Right Back At Ya" as well. That show...is AMAZING and is okay in the 4kids dub, buut if 4kids wasn't so stupid, the kirby anime would be A LOT better.

There were many hilarious lines in the kirby anime that 4kids HAD to censor. 4kid's sense of humor is very skewed. :\

This is wonderful. But I worry for Funimation. I like Funimation D:

I think funimation will be fine, they dub plenty of good animes. You know? Dubbing japanese shows is a lot trickier than you think. Getting the words to sync with character's lips that were originally meant to be spoken japanese is nooot easy. Still though...4kids gotta do better. I do understand that they gotta keep it "for kids" but there are more "violent" shows out there already. Just look at Adventure Time.
Guys, read that funimation dubbed Kirby Right Back At Ya. Please someone confirm if it's true. I NEED TO SEE IT.

This is amazing news!
While I pity the Pokemon fans, they ruined pretty much every show they got. Yu-Gi-Oh, One Piece, Sonic X... I'm glad they were stopped before they reached something like The World God Only Knows
