What's this?!?! I boot up my Wii U tonight, and my Wii U will not play sound on my TV, it will play on the GamePad though. The thing that makes this even wierder is the fact that other inputs, (TV, Wii, XBOX, PS2, Gamecube etc.) Play sound just fine. I've tried Pulling the plug on the AC Adapter (NOT during an update) Tried Pulling the plug on the HDMI plug, and it still doesn't work. Somebody please help!

Does the HDMI cable work on other devices? Did you try using a different input cable?

Try formating it.
Add me on Wii U if you want to settle it in Smash

Resetting the system worked for me when that happened. Also, make sure the volume is on on your TV.

If the GamePad's volume is turned all the way up dosn't that put the sound through the GamePad and mute the TV, that's what happned when I tried the GamePad out at GAME, try turning the volume down on the GamePad, if not I dunno

Is this on the menu? Because this is supposed to happen when playing some games.
