No it's a brand new game with brand new powerup and levels. I'm also assuming it's better than nsmbwii
Not new, they could have just used the cape instead or something...
Add me on Wii U if you want to settle it in Smash

I already got it. My question was really is there any reason for me to keep my old copy of New Super Mario Bros around for the Wii, or is NSMBU better in every area so much that I should just sell the old version because it is not worth playing?Just get it, it looks awesome and it probably most likely will be awesome.

If I had both copies, I would fire up eBay or Craigslist to get a few bucks for the Wii version - that or give it to one of my nephews for Christmas. Ho-ho-ho.

It was the best 2D mario game since they stopped making them.
Completely different games.
Unlike a shooter, platformers are all about the levels.

Not sure what exactly you were implying with that statement. That aside, it's an opinion with no technical merit, I'll admit. I was bored and frustrated (not with difficulty) with the game. Playing with others only doubled the feeling. The game aggravated me immensely while playing.

is means levels are the important thing in platformers. Not sure what exactly you were implying with that statement. That aside, it's an opinion with no technical merit, I'll admit. Whereas modern shooters, the story is what should be the important thing, but seems more to be about multiplayer.
