Just picked up Kirby's Dream Collection the other day. Tried to play it multiplayer today on the Wii U and when I switch to the Wii menu it loses connection with all but one of the wiimotes. I can't find an option in the Wii menu to connect more wiimotes. I have three in total, but only one connects, even after going back to the Wii U menu and pairing all of them all over again. Haven't had any problems playing multiplayer Wii U games. Anybody else experience anything like this?

I haven't tested this nor have I played multiplayer Wii games on Wii U, but, I think the solution is to press a button (any button) on the extra controller(s).

Should get the Wii Motes up and running.

I've tried almost all of the buttons on the wiimotes, and all that happens is the lights blink momentarily and then stop, as though they're not paired with a console at all. Thanks for the reply, though/

Press home and try connecting them like you would on a wii mini?
Is the strange.

Try syncing the Wii remotes. You press the red button on the console and then the red button on the Wii remote.

Figured out what was going on:

Apparently because some of the games are single-player, it would only let one controller connect. Then, once we started a multiplayer game it let a second one connect. Kinda strange...
