no it is the wii u because the second time i actually realized it and inspected it, when i turned it off it stoppedSo you don't actually know if it's your Wii U? Do you see any kind of smoke, smell anything odd near the console?

Hopefully you can get it resolved, But saying that my Computer fan has a slight hissing sound from time to time.
I would contact Nintendo about the problem and see if the have a sloution for you!

It coyld just be the load of textures.
The ps3 version lets you load them to the hdd so it doesnt have to read from the disc as much.
So it could just be the loading of the drive.
Or you have a cat inside your wii u.

sounds like your ipod got wet. Or the headphone jack shorted out.hmmm, idk if its considered the same thing, but I had that happen to my iPhone once, it started hissing out of no where and then after it stopped, the volume bar dissappeared and I had trouble charging the phone O:

i think it had the be dock connecter thing that shorted out
it was on my bed laying next to my laptop & headphones, unplugged & untouched. The hissing just started out of no where :X
