Anyone else had this problem? I know of at least 5 other people with the same issue. I manually configured the connection with the add 10 to your ip thing and it made no difference.
If anyone knows a solution or if it is just something simple I missed it'd be a huge help.

Get a new router. That's what sounds like the issue don't forget to portforward urged stuff too
I just set up my Wii U this afternoon and had it disconnect once whilst downloading the FIFA demo. Hopefully it was a o e of and wo t come to being a regular occurrence. That said no one should have to go to the drastic measure of changing their router especially if every other device is working just fine with it. Everything else I have works just fine with my router and if the Wii U starts giving me trouble I'm not going to replace the router.

Twice I've come back and turned back on the upad and my nnid would be orange/signed out.
Is that the problem?
If so, just open the browser or miiverse or friendslist or something, it'll connect back up.

My connection's been solid. My console hasn't frozen either.

The point is it shouldn't get disconnected and you shouldn't have to start up an app or service to get it to connect again. My PS3 and Xbox 360 never use to disconnect when they were wireless and my PS Vita never does either.

Even your ip lease expires, on every network device eventually as a rule set out in the specification for ip addressing.

1. Unplug your router for about 20 seconds and plug it back in
2. get a new router
Number to is just absolute rubbish. No one should have to get a new router if everything else they have works fine with the existing one.
unplug all the other stuff you got connected to the net, like you're pc/phone and so on.
That's also absolute rubbish and no one should have to disconnect everything else they have connected just so the Wii U can connect.

Then there is a fault with your router or your network connection. There is no reason otherwise that you would need to do that.
