How to you shift games to the controller? For example in NBA if I am not playing on the tv I have to deal with the biometric scan whenever I tilt the controller ?
Wii off-tv how to?

It's different for every game really, some have options, some require a button press, or a combo, and some require swiping down on the screen.

Different for every game.
Ac3 its in the opitions menu.
Cod bo2 its on the touch screen.
But some games you cant. So i would just go through all the menus and see.

NSMBU you can do it any time. Even when in game just go to the pause menu and go to select controller.
Add me on Wii U if you want to settle it in Smash

Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed requires a downward swipe on the GamePad (which i had to look up because it was never even mentioned in one of the worst instruction manuals i've ever seen).

Check the games options or read the manual, for every game it's different.
