I think I'd rather have a Wii U Pro just for comfort and battery life since I hear the Gamepad doesn't last forever. But I never had a Wii so catching up on some Wii games I missed is also a priority for me, do I need an original Wii controller (plus) to play them? Is an original controller going to be more useful?

I have both and both are great but iwould wait on the pro controller something tells me that nintendo will make a newer version with a headset port.

Thanks for the replies. Since I need the Wiimote for Wii games I'm going to get one of those, I guess I'll get nunchuck as well.
