This is super-duper pointless but does the Wii U have a light up disc drive like the Wii does? I just wanted to know.

It would appear not, as the Wii U seems to be completely lacking any of the useful standby functionality the Wii had.

it just has a tiny white light by the disc drive to tell you when a disc is in it.

Too bad it didnt have one. I had the light up fan/base stand for the wii so when the disc drive lit up they both looked really cool in the dark. I used to send myself emails to my wii just so the disc drive would light up lol.
