I actually joined the forums to formally catch up with what feldo was doing. I knew him back on an older forum and then followed him to his Feldian Forums, where he planned something called YPX. The forums sort of died out and Elric reminded me of this place's URL when Feldo's forum went down.
I wasn't too obsessed with the WiiU, even though I was a nintendo fan, but I stuck around because I liked the people here.

i joined becuz i now have a wii u and i can complain about problems it has that are stupid and whatnot with reason. which seems to be a few things, like how the wii can do things the wii u cant do like watch videos from the sd card. unless its in the wii inside of the wii u, i forgot to check that again if it has the photo channel. but nothing compared to the negativeness i had with a 3ds.

I had been on the 3DS Forums for more or less 6 months and had checked this place out a bit, and finally decided to join.

2 reasons.

1. I got sick and tired of the Escapist Community. They are largely rude and negative. So I went looking for somewhere else to go where I would be appreciated.

2. In the process of trying to find a place to move to, I discovered your guys podcast. That was more than enough to motivate me to come here.

I started going to WiiUBlog.com over a year ago to get news. I noticed on the banner it said forums but I never planned on joining. However one day in early November 2012 I took a shot in the dark and joined. Thats when I discovered this awesome site. I hope to stay here for years to come.

Because my friends and I terminated our xbox forums. Most of them grew older and are persuing other hobbies, systems and things like that. Gave up on Rare and so also quit those forums and my own Rare fansite. Bought some 3ds's for the kids and thought...well a WiiU would be a cool family console for the kids as well as myself. Well and there you have it, I needed a new virtual place to hang out, Nintendo oriented made most sense. Hoped to find some online friends here but I have some trouble finding a click. At my old forum finding 'friends' was easy but here I still feel some distance. Yet some decent and mature people here are quitte friendly so I'll keep trying

Was reading WiiUGo and WiiUBlog for a long time, think since practically the beginning. I'd post the occasional thing in the comments, eventually a combined forum was made so I decided to join ^^.
I may not post a lot on here but I do check the forums very regularly since its creation. A different experience since my last activity on forums was years ago on IGN where I knew pretty much everyone on the nintendo board; speaking about 10 years ago or something.

To find a decent community that actually had people with souls and ideas and opinions, and all seem to like any amazing thing instead of screaming at eachother over stupid arguments.
