The service is free but it's just a user interface to access your existing TV and Internet based media services. It allows you to search for the same content on all of them amongst other things. If you already know that then I apologise. Just making sure you're aware of what it actually is.

Not trying to come off rude but I called it wii tv not my son and if he called it wii tv Its not a big deal as he is only 4 and does not know the difference.
