I am so angry right now. I went to update the YouTube app, and before I knew it, I was stuck at over 2+ hours waiting. I had no way of canceling the install. The weather got bad and I wanted to power down, but I had no recourse for shutting down the machine. Then the power went. When it came back and I tried turning the machine on, it got to the "seeing if online features are available" function before locking into a state and just emitting a buzzing sound. Is there anything to be done with this or am I stuck returning it?
Is there a way to reset Wii U?

Try unplugging the power and plugging it back in. It's worked for me. But you may have a bricked Wii U, in which case, ask about bricked Wii Us.

Just in case, turn it off, unplug all cables, keep it like that for 1-5 min and then plug them again....
ps: Unplug all cables, even the tv cable..

A big giant facepalm for the Big N for not giving the Wii U one.
