Everywhere I'm going nowadays (speaking of websites) is filled with mindless hate towards a certain company or franchise. People trying to ruin others enjoyments with their hate towards a certain name, be it Call of Duty, Nintendo or whatever. More now than ever. I know this may sound cliché, but why the hell not let people enjoy what they want and show some respect to whatever people like? It's like... videogaming racism.

And then there's game journalism. When visiting random newssites, only negative parts are highlighted. What I am referring to here off course, is 'omg nitnendo is doomedz!1' articles and comments in particular. Everyone has been going on how Nintendo is doing 'bad' for example, while the truth is that they're still doing way better than the other gaming companies. And then when finally something positive gets posted, no-one cares! No-one cares, they just keep on ranting about Nintendo. No-one out there saying "Wow, that's great!" even not on some dedicated Nintendo sites (Dutch fans may know the website www.n1ntendo.com, where there was only one comment about Nintendo's great hardware sales and it was a hateful comment ranting on that there are not enough games for his likes).

This website is one of the few sites that just thinks bright about everything and most especially, open-minded. Mostly because it's a non-commercial Nintendo-dedicated forum I think. That's why I'm here. Who else is getting tired of this?

Edit: unaware of the contradicting topic title. I was ranting about the hate in the gaming community, but at the same time I use the word hate to describe how I feel about it... I apologise, but the point comes across I think.

lol, you have been mistaken in thinking peoples opinions of the wii u is bad. I have read lots of great reviews, theres far more good than bad, and for the people who write in forums and blogs about problems they have come across, that is a minority. They are either comming to a forum for help or a rant about their perticular issue, and sometimes they are uneducated rants. Most people with NO issues hardly post in forums, apart from maybe game sections to talk about games. which is why you dont see as many positive posts because they are just enjoying their console and have no need to post.

NINTENDO Wii U ID = Skywalkman-GB

I think this is mainly due to you, presumably, being a Nintendo fan that these negative responses to Nintendo stand out. I do not own a Wii U and my PC and Vita get most of my playtime these days so the negative media that I notice the most is related to the Vita; a lot of which is due to being a regular member on a Vita forum. To be honest, I have been visiting Destructoid and other gaming news sites less frequently but from what I have seen there hasn't been all that much hate towards the Wii U by journalists. I mean you have to admit the system and its games are not perfect so a bit of criticism should be expected, gaming journalists are just doing their job by commenting on the relevant news and events.

That being said, there are a number of journalists out there that are rather poor in their journalism skills and will be overly subjective when objectivity is what makes a good journalist/reviewer.

This statement is false. The previous statement is true.

RIP in peace Nintendo.

Too right, too right. The Vita is a great system with a great range of games yet it is constantly criticised; strange people those journalists.

Sony fans do it because they paid 600 usd to get a console and feel stupid.
Microsoft fans do it because they pay money for online and feel stupid.
Nintendo fans do it because they don't get any third party software and feel stupid.
Journalists do it to make money.

It wasn't aimed purely at Nintendo. I don't own a Vita, but I think it's great too (played it a couple of times, but that's for another story).

What I'm saying is that journalists and communities rarely aim at positive aspects of the industry. Big websites still thinking of the Wii U as a previous generation ( = PS360) console for example. And now that certain platforms are selling great, they recieve almost no attention as compared to when people thought they would suck... Negativity outweights positivity apparantly and that frustrates me.

I agree, but I always have my own opinion, I do take others into consideration but never to heart, I only use gaming websites for news now, leave the b****ers and moaners to it, I've got better things to do.
