Could someone explain why there's no reset button on the Wii U console? That's such a silly thing for Nintendo to do. Wha do they expect us to do in a case where we'd use the reset button? No one really complained about the reset button on the Wii, so I was surprised when I noticed there was no reset button an hour after owning it.

I never really noticed until just now.. Not a big deal, just press the Power button to turn it off, then again to turn it back on.

Because the reset button had been software-based for the past few generations anyway, and is not needed.
Search before new thread rule sure does work.

Pretty much this.

Reset button is obsolete.

a reset button is useful when the console freezes or something so i would say it's far from obsolete, it's a design flaw, the ps3 slim does it too, when the system freezes you have to pull the plug out, in the long run that is going do some major damage to the console especially when both have a hard drive on them, it's a cut corners tactic from nintendo, but it doesn't really give us any benefits when nintendo make design decisions like this.

Games like COD could use a reset button bc the home button does not work while playing that game.

Which is probably one reason they didn't include one.

Having a reset button makes rage-quitting that bit easier.
