I'm not quite sure what to say about this. If the theater reopened and didn't send invitations, they'd still be considered terrible and insensitive people...

Exactly.

Plus i dont really think its "disgusting". Their hearts were in the right place by trying to do something for the victims and their families. They just should have thought through more about the timing of these invites and the wording they used in the invitations.

I don't see the problem. They sent invitations to a MEMORIAL service. If it was simply a case of "oh, sorry for your loss! Here is a free cinema ticket!!" then sure, disgusting. However, that wasn't the case.

Also, it's hardly the cinema's fault what happen. Why put people out of jobs when the cinema is still in working order? If you consider all of the murders which take place ever year, if we were to knock down every single builder where a murder has taken place, then a lot of people would be out of homes, jobs etc et.
