Yesterday I played COD on the gamepad because my wife was watching some girly movie on the TV. I have to say it's pretty cool to be able to do this and it actually worked and looked pretty nice on the gamepad hopefully more and more games will be able to do this. Can this be done with the Sonic racing game does anyone know, I haven't seen a way to do it?

Yep, you're able to do off-tv play with Sonic Racing.

yep as said sonic can be played on the pad,think you just swipe down on screen to activate it and swipe up again to have it back on the tv

I'm always impressed by what Nintendo can come up with. This is one of those things that I will never tire of. Imagine taking it on the road if you have to share a TV? Want to still play the Wii U? Fine. Load up the gamepad. Incredible. I can't express enough how much I love Nintendo again.

Off-TV play would be interesting for the future Mario Kart title.

I agree with you, but off-TV play would also be interesting with the future Zelda title. Though I don't see how that'd work, as the GamePad would probably be used for the item/equip menu while playing with the TV.

I hate using off-TV for AC3, I am DEAD without the map! :/
