I'm glad Nyko has this, or else i would go crazy with that low battery life.

now the more I have used the controller the longer the battery life. I only play a few hours at a time and works great.

Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuude.
It's two screws behind the gamepad. >_>

P.S. where can I get this in Canada (preferably on the net)?

Such a smart thing to do. I don't think the existing batterie life would cause any issue for me but I know some guys like that, so it's very welcome.

I still don't like opening things up.

It's designed to come off for easy replacement.

Are you saying you never open things up to change batteries? It's no different then changing batteries in anything electronic. If you weren't suppose to open it up you wouldn't be able to like an iPhone.

I bought a couple rechargeable battery packs for my wii-motes and they have worked great and have lasted at least 2 years.

Wii remotes didn't have it's own battery either. It relied off third party batteries.

This is a product I would love to purchase, but It's currently not available at any online retailer. Although, I'm sure it will be in stock soon enough. I don't mind waiting a bit though. I'm just happy nyko has come up with a solution to the gamepad's abysmal battery life.

The battery life is hardly ever a problem for me, and as some others here have stated, I don't really like using 3rd party hardware or opening things up... If the battery life ever does bug me, I might consider it, but for now, it's fine; I always put it back in it's charging cradle when I'm not using it. :)

i also leave it in the charge stand..however, of an evening if the wife has the tv and i'm playing black ops....sometimes the battery light tells me to come off rather than me wanting to come off :0)

plus, its not like some cheap unofficial 3rd party battery...these seem as ''official'' as it comes other than ninty themselves...why they didn't just release it with a 12hr battery i dont know. anyway..i'll be snapping up 1 of these.
