I was on 3DS blog watching the new Pokemon X and Y trailer. I had to get up and go somewhere else with my laptop, so I paused the trailer. When I got to the other couch, I tried to move the curser with the keypad, and nothing happened. I thought Google Chrome had frozen. But no, my whole computer had frozen. The clock at the bottom right of the screen froze and no matter what I do, it doesn't un freeze. I think my computer is done. I haven't tried turning the computer off with the actual power button, because I'm worried about what might happen. Any ideas? I'm desperate for help.

PC's don't brick or anything if you turn them off, you'll just lose anything you have open that wasn't saved, which usually isn't an issue nowadays as pretty much everything autosaves every 5 seconds.

Um you new to pc?
If they lock up just hold the power button and it will turn off.
Then turn it back on and let it do its checks.
