If you really didnt do anything else you should have made an appeal.

This gets tons of banned posts back up near instantly upon a quick review.

The bans are probably automatic, and the appeals are the part being read by the moderators.

Yeah its silly. A toad got banned for commenting about the color of a koopas shell , he only said it was a bit garish!

From what I've learned you really should just avoid confrontation in Miiverse.

There's a good chance that if you hadn't confronted the person posting hateful remarks, he would've gotten banned a few minutes after.

Miiverse is, mostly, a friendly community. Though there are trolls, racists, haters etc everywhere you shouldn't give them any attention if the rest of the community is actually worth talking to.

same thing as on Internet message board. You just report the person and move on.
If you "call them out" you'll probably be breaking a rule yourself.

I think the admins are actually starting to learn from their mistakes, why do I say that? Well I'm about 7 days into my 2 week ban and since then the 2 pictures I drew that were removed by administrator are now back on my page and visible. Maybe the admins decided to ready the code of conduct for themselves!
