I was thinking we have mods and they go around the WHOLE place they are barely in the chatbox what if there was a certain type of mod who could only mod the chatbox but there should be like 2 "chat mods" if there should ever be any see this gives the regular mods more time to mod the rest of the forum while the chat is secured and they can still mod it though.....its not THAT bad of an idea LOL just a suggestion

true but its better to be prepared then just get one when they all crowd in  then it'll be harder but i could see only having one for now and then hire more later on

I'm not sure if we need a mod for the chat if I'm honest. I'll admit that I don't use the chat that often, but me and Feld0 can both access the chat logs, so we can see everything that's said in the chat. If you ever see another member breaking any of the rules in the chat, please report them or PM me or Feld0 and we'll look into it. That way'll we'll be able to keep the chat secure.

i do see your point there but wouldn't it be easier to do it in an instant that way they cannot go any further

The chatroom is inactive much of the time. Having mods who go in to moderate it in shifts 24/7 will be a colossal waste of time for them (do keep in mind that mods and admins have lives outside of this forum, too). Unless the forums grow really large to the point where the chatroom is active 24/7, it would simply be a torturous experience for those who are told to moderate it.

If someone in the chatroom is bothering you, please just leave the chatroom and report them using the "Report Member" button on their profile, being sure to mention the approximate time it happened (it helps when trying to trace a single incident in hundreds of pages of logs). AMAC or I will look into it ASAP from there.

I think it's sufficient enough if people realise they went too far and stop pursuing rule breaking posts.

Well a mod would be useful for the chat box, but in the moment as AMAC and Feld0 said, I think as long as we report people when they cause trouble, we'll be safe of trolls and people saying/writing stuff they shouldn't


Still though, I like the idea

I honestly don't think this is necessary. Most of the people on here don't really use the chat room. When it is used, there's usually an amount of about one to three people. So a chat mod would be ridiculous. Furthermore, we already have AMAC and Feld0 as it is. They are able to check in to the chat logs, whenever. So if there is a problem in there, report them and send AMAC or Feld0 a PM.

I think Turbo Tails is an unoffical chat mod, though. He's in the chat almost ALL the time, yet he doesn't chat anytime. Also, he doesn't appear in the thing that tells you how many people are in chat. I don't know about that, though.

The reason for that, is because he never talks. So when it says how many people are in the chat room, it doesn't count the people that aren't active.

I also have people missing from the 'who is active' box, even though they just posted 5 seconds ago.
One time, it took forever for Waller to appear in that box.

And I do chat from time to time when not busy with other shiz.
