I'm not into specs. But it sounds a bit like my MacPro 8core 8gb (updated that to 48gb) on which I do a lot of 3dmodeling and rendering. These things are monsters.

I wish, that would be pretty epic.

Macpro uses freaking 8 xeons, these are 8 jaguar (laptop/mobile) cores.

Haha yeah, around 4300 euro, but that with an Eizo mon and extra ram. It's not even that great for gaming...at least...I never used it to game

G

Gaming has a different workload than work machines. Very branch heavy code. You want strong integer performance, aggressive out of order execution, and a very very slick branch predictor. None of that really means a whole lot for the performance we need when making assets.

But yeah, No games allowed on my work computer either. Though I didnt spend near 5000 bucks on it. So.... Does it make you coffee while you wait for a complex render? (Do you even wait?) Does it massage your feet while you tweak splines?

Cause if it does I think Im trading in my wife.

Are you serious of course not...the only thing it produces is Apple juice ;) but yeah, it's in its second year and never ever crashed on me. I can photoshop heavy files while rendering in Cinema or Aftereffects. It's not even the fastest renderer but it's reliable.
