Nothing beats the real deal and Nintendo aint smart enough to realize this.
The simple answer fallen is that Itoi owns the rights to EB, not Nintendo.

No one really knows why. We are getting closer though as Itoi mentioned doing something with the EB series recently. However we know it's not a new game yet. There were tons of legal issues with the original game, maybe it left a sour note in his mouth.

In the Japanese Eshop version they are taking out the copyrighted material BTW. Porting it to the west shouldnt be hard then.No one really knows why.
