Just seen some footage of the Wiiu version on Youtube and i know these games have a following but did we really buy a next gen console to play all this basic stuff on? ok if its a tenner but how about some more teen/adult games as this was what Ninteno wanted to push in to instead of being seen as a younger persons games console..

Dude, every single console in existence from now until the demise of gaming will have childish games on it. It's a given fact.

Also, I doubt Toki Tori 2 is "childish". From what I heard, it's a puzzle/platformer, so that definitely isn't mainly aimed towards children.

Exactly. You can't expect the average 8 year old nowadays to know how to put a box on a weight to make your futuristic rusty car to fly over the well-animated pool of water. Most of them just shoot things and laugh.

A game can look adorable and cute, and still be not a kids game.

Plants vs Zombies? Kids play it, but many adults/teens do as well.

World of Goo? Mostly an adult/teen audience, the difficulty gets quite high later on- You can't expect a kid to solve that without looking it up. (Or me, for instance.)

Even Offspring fling. Come on, THAT game takes..skill.

I think you get my point. There are many cutesy puzzle platformers out there (Such as Toki Tori) that aren't necessarily aimed at a kid audience.

Just because it looks simple doesn't make it a bad or childish game at all. I love these older style games. I don't get why you wasted our time with your title? It sounds like you played it, instead your just judging it.

First of all what the hell does it mean to be up ones self? Second - I'm fine with your opinion - but the title is misleading to that you may actually of played it and are not impressed by it. All I was trying to say man.

Didn't mean it the way you too it, apologize for that. Lately we been getting a lot of posts with misleading titles. Sorry to jump on ya.

Either way - opinion or not - if you can get your hands on the original...since its cheap..you should. It is fun. If thats not your kind of game then no biggy, but I hate seeing people missing out on great games because of how it looks and not plays.

Just because a game is colourful, doesn't mean it's kiddy. Kiddy is in the gameplay, not the graphics. Basic doesn't mean bad either, I typically find a game with a basic premise has a much greater chance to succeed. Plus, you didn't need to buy next gen to play anything. Games are not a necessity, they are an extra in life.
you don't need to complain about a game, more games is better, no matter what (maybe not Carnival Games though!)

Nintendo is suffering from their traditional launch draught. E3 will make Wii U owners very happy.

Some great games from Nintendo as well as third party.

Remember Viva Pinata and Banjo were marked as kiddy games too, just because of the graphics

Fair enough, i agree any and all games help the overall amount available for the WiiU. The only other Nintendo i have owned was the Wii and i didn't really get on with it, but i saw this new one as a genuine leap forward that has a great idea with the pad. So lets hope we get a wide range of games to suit all available for this platform.

Games are for fun and enjoyment, there are many ways to get that too, I mean I love GTA I've played every game and I also love Pokemon I've played all of the main series ones. The words Hardcore Gamer should be banned forever.
